As I was cleaning out my music storage today,
I ran across this song and the words touched me.
I have journeyed through the long, dark night.
I've been out on life's raging sea.
By faith alone, sight unknown,
Yet I found His eyes were watching me.
I've had visions; I've had dreams,
Even held them in my hand,
I never knew they would slip right through
Like they were only grains of seed.
The anchor holds, though the ship is battered.
The anchor holds, through the sails are torn.
I have fallen on my knees,
As I face life's raging sea.
The anchor holds in spite of the storm.
